ELSC Bushfire Response

On 21st March ELSC opened it's hearts and wallets in support of the Victorian Bushfire Fund. Our Hawaii Night was a great success with over 150 club members enjoying a night of entertainment and auctions. We managed to raise over $2000 which is to be donated to the Bushfire relief efforts. The ELSC Committee are currently investigating the regions effected by the bushfires in an effort to donate money to those local community or sporting organisations whose resources and facilities have been debilitated. We will let you know which organisations we nominate asap.

Important updates on Working With Children Check requirements

The Working With Children Act 2005 (Vic) includes a compulsory Working With Children Check for all employees and volunteers who have regular, direct and not directly supervised contact with children under 18 years of age. This check has implications for all areas of Life Saving Victoria as members under 18 years of age are involved in all our activities. To ensure our members are operating within the legal framework, it is imperative that ALL members over 18 years obtain the WWCC. Further details are located in the membership section of our website.
