Child Safety & Member Protection

Edithvale Life Saving Club is committed to the safety and wellbeing of every child and young person who takes part in our activities, programs, events or services and are actively promoting education and a shared understanding of Child Safety amongst all our members including Children and Young People.

We are committed to ensuring our members feel safe and have fun as they participate in all club activities.

Our club is committed to taking steps to ensure that Child Safety is a priority, including but not limited to:

  • All members over the age of 18 requiring a Working With Children Check as set out in the Working With Children Policy

  • All members who are in positions of authority and or working directly with children complete the online LSV Child Safe Awareness course

  • Child Safe Guidelines and posters and Member Protections contacts displayed around the club in accessible locations.
