Why join ELSC?
Joining Edithvale LSC offers a unique opportunity to be part of a community dedicated to water safety, fitness, and saving lives. Lifesaving clubs train members in vital skills such as CPR, first aid, and water rescue, equipping you to protect others and contribute to beach safety. Beyond these essential skills, clubs foster teamwork, fitness, and a strong sense of community, where members build lifelong friendships and stay active.
For younger members, the Nippers program is an exciting way to introduce children aged 5-13 to lifesaving in a fun and safe environment. Through beach activities, surf education, and teamwork, Nippers learn vital water safety skills while developing confidence and respect for the ocean. It’s the perfect starting point for kids to gain practical skills, stay active, and make new friends, starting the journey of becoming future lifesavers.
Whether you're looking to help out, stay fit, or get your kids involved, joining a lifesaving club is a rewarding and enriching experience for the whole family.
Perks of Being an ELSC Member!
Borrow Club Equipment
Hit the water with club gear! Kids can practise on boards, while adults can borrow boards and skis whenever the club is open.
Relax in the Clubrooms
Need a break from the sun? Enjoy a drink or lunch upstairs when the club is open during patrols and Nippers. Just let the Patrol Manager know you'd like to use the clubroom and we'll happily let you in.
Learn Life-Saving Skills
Gain valuable qualifications in CPR, First Aid and water rescues. These skills can lead to opportunities such as patrolling, crewing or driving rescue boats, and helping keep our beach community safe.
Join the Fun at Club Events
From holiday celebrations to social gatherings, we're always looking for more ways to bring members together. Keep an eye on club communications and come along to enjoy the club and meet fellow members.
Host Your Next Celebration
Planning a party or special event? Members receive fantastic discounted rates on hall hire, making the club a great venue for your next gathering.
Be Part of Something Bigger
ELSC is proudly volunteer-run, and every helping hand makes a difference. Whether it's cooking a BBQ at Nippers, helping at a working bee, becoming a patroller, or even joining the board, there are plenty of ways to get involved and make the club even better.
Most of All – Enjoy Your Club!
Make the most of everything ELSC has to offer, build lifelong friendships, develop new skills, and create amazing memories by the beach.
